Five Wishes

This post is inspired by New Years resolutions but I wanted to give it a fun twist. If you could have ANY five wishes come true this holiday season, what would you wish for? More money? A shopping spree in New York? Peace on Earth? An end to world hunger? A cure for cancer? Or maybe you'd just like to go see a loved one who lives across the country. Whatever is on your wish list, be it as simple as a new pair of gloves to keep your fingers warm and dry, to a new furry friend to read with on the couch, read on and see my wishes are anything like you wishes

1- I wish for the gift of time. A way to add minutes to the day. And have more time with my kids and loved ones. But since this is not possible, I'll settle on finding a way to make more of the time I do have. No more procrastinating. No more excessive facebook, Pinterest and twitter checks... I wish to prioritize. Enjoy every moment. And to get more done.

2- I wish to never spend another second worrying, stressing, or feeling upset. I will be silly. Smile more. Laugh more. Have more fun.

3-From time to time, I wish to disconnect from all things electronic and connect within the moment. Cherish the precious time I have with someone. It never fails when I see someone on their phone I must check mine. It's as contagious as a yawn! But by leaving my phone and iPad unattended to others in my presence will feel important and that they are a priority.

4-I wish to always say what I mean and mean what I say! Kudos' to Dr Seuss for this inspiring message. Its a good one. I will take the time to think before I speak. Often times when I am not equipped with my keyboard and no longer have access to spellcheck and backspace, I fumble allover conversations like a clumsy elephant trampling through a candle shop. But with this wish, I will only say what I mean and mean what I say.

5- My last but not least wish is to give thoughtful gifts. And not just at Christmas time, all throughout the year. I will say no the gift card and to cash. Instead I will pay attention to what someone mentions in casual conversation, I will listen for the clues. Because I know the second I come right out with, 'what do you want for Christmas/birthday?' If I ask this I better settle in for an awkward moment. A blank look is now veiled upon their face and all words elude them. Instead of  just asking, I wish to pick up what someone is into and find a way to give it to them.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to share my wish list with you!!

What's on your list the holiday season??
